About MCA of Northwest Pennsylvania
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Northwest Pennsylvania (MCA) was established on November 2, 1971 as the local affiliate of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). The MCA of Northwest Pennsylvania is a non-profit trade organization representing mechanical contracting firms who employ the approximately 1,300 organized members of the United Association, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #47. The Association provides a wide array of services to our membership, from labor relations to education and training, to involvement in local and state government affairs.
Our contractor members design, install and service plumbing, process piping, refrigeration, and heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC), and control systems. Many of our member firms also employ Ironworkers, Millwrights, Sheet metal Workers, Laborers, Boilermakers, Electricians, and Operating Engineers. Located in Northwest Pennsylvania, our jurisdiction encompasses the following eleven counties: Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Venango, and Warren.
Highly skilled crafts-people, continuing education programs, a safe work force, and good jobs that can not be sent overseas—the MCA of Northwest Pennsylvania is building Pennsylvania.
